Whether you are a recreational cyclist, mountain biker, road cyclist, time trialist, or triathlete, we understand the importance of comfort and efficiency for you on the bike. Here at Ignite Bike Fit Studio we believe in the fit first mentality. That means we recommend getting a Bike Fit before or in conjunction with your bike purchase - because the only right bike for you is the one that fits. It doesn’t matter if your budget is $500 or $5,000, any amount is too much to pay to gamble and get the wrong bike.

Why FIT Matters

Like a T-shirt, bikes come in sizes such as Small, Medium and Large. Or, like a suit, you can find more specific bike measurements like 52cm, 54cm, 56cm and more. However, within any given size a bike’s Handlebar and Saddle also need to be adjusted. This tailoring of position is where a Bike Fit comes in, and can help prevent injury, improve comfort, bike handling and proper cycling form, all while igniting proper muscle coordination and power. However, not all Bike Fits are created equal. A professionally optimized Fitting takes into account each movement of the body, both individually and as a whole. The result of a Bike Fit should be a truly tailored position, which creates a seamless connection between body and bike.

Understanding our Dynamic Series Bike Fits

No matter which option you choose, every Bike Fit at Ignite is performed by our Professional Head Fitter, James Coudright. Additionally, every Fit utilizes our Guru Dynamic Fitting Unit, the Industry leading Fitting Bike with infinite, on the spot, motorized adjustment of both Saddle & Handlebar position. What then makes each Fit option unique? The number 1, 3 or 5 assigned to each Fit represents the number of Optimized Fits performed. Our Dynamic 1 Fit is optimized around 1 effective seat angle, whereas our Dynamic 3 or 5 Fits optimize a rider’s Fit across 3 or 5 effective seat angles, which allows us to compare how different effective seat angles affect power, cadence, and comfort. While this is important for Road Cyclists as Road Bike effective seat angles range from 72 - 74 degrees, it is extremely important for Triathletes as Tri Bike effective seat angles ranges are far wider, from 76 - 80 degrees.

This is our Intermediate level fit, but don't be fooled - this fit goes deeper than many other St. Louis bike shop's highest level fit! This fit combines the knowledge of our expert fitters and the motors of the DFU to take you through a fluid fit process where you never have to get off the bike to compare position adjustments. This type of instant feedback between positions is truly a game changer for all cyclists.

Dynamic 3 Fit

This Bike Fit takes about 2 hours


This Bike Fit is the cream of the crop. Like the Dynamic 1 Fit, the Dynamic 3 Fit allows our fitters to find your optimal position while you are pedaling. But we go even further by performing and saving three bike fit positions and then toggle between the three. By comparing the fits to each other, you know which is truly optimized for your personal power, cadence, and comfort.

This is our Olympic Athlete level fit. 


Dynamic 5 Bike Fit:

This Bike Fit takes about 2.5 hours


Our expert fitters designed this Bike Fit specifically to be the most precise and athlete-specific fit option available in the midwest. Instead of limiting the bike fit to 3 effective seat angle positions, the Dynamic 5 Fit process follows a rider through five complete bike fit positions. The end result is a fit position that is tailored, to the millimeter, to a rider's strengths.
